Mark M. Belanich, a man of powerful intellect and abundant sense of humor, is mpowermed’s Director of Medical Physics. His specialty is Radiology and Radiation Oncology. He applies his excellent leadership skills as overseer of clinical activities of the Radiation Oncology facilities managed by mpowermed. Constantly aware of trends and developments in the field, he has been influential in increasing Mobile HDR services, expanding Physics Services to include Diagnostic Radiology, internalizing quality control through monthly and annual calibration services, implementing the “Record and Verify” system and helping to bring the first clinical TomoTherapyŽ unit in the Northeast USA to mpowermed’s managed practices. He and his team draw rave reviews for overseeing Quality Assurance, Radiation Safety, and temporary employment for our clients. Mark specializes in recommending state-of-the-art equipment for new facilities and setting up protocols to enhance Quality Assurance. He has been active in the profession and serves on the Board of Directors
of the American Association of Medical Physicists. He also served as
President, 1990 and 2002, of Radiological and Medical Physics Society
of NY (RAMPS) and as President, 1992, of the Connecticut Area Medical
Physics Society (CAMPS). |
