Donna L. Neil - Executive VP & COO Donna L. Neil is a recognized medical practice and project management expert in the field of Radiation Oncology. Her vast knowledge of medical billing and collections has made her a visionary leader throughout the tri-state area. As a former Radiologic Technologist, Radiation Therapist, Dosimetrist, Administrator, Director and Certified Compliance Officer, Donna has cultivated a wealth of experience and an intimate understanding of every part of the radiation oncology process. From building cancer centers, to forming their infrastructure, to performing department assessments, she has been recognized within New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania as an expert in Patient and Charge Capture Flow, Radiation Oncology Billing and Documentation. In 1997, she built on her decades of experience by co-founding mpowermed, Inc. - a full-service medical practice management company. Since founding mpowermed, her empirical methods of evaluation and results-oriented approach have set her apart from the field. As a direct result, mpowermed’s clients have seen patient satisfaction jump 10-20% and revenues increase by 25 – 40%. As Executive Vice President and COO, Donna oversees day-to-day operations of 65 employees, who perform a wide range of services for 35 Radiation Oncology clients and other multi-specialty groups, including such prestigious centers as New York University, Mount Sinai of NY and Advanced Radiation Oncology Services. Recent projects include project and practice management of new Tomotherapy freestanding facilities across the US and project oversight for a new Ambulatory Center in Shanghai, China – which will offer Radiation and Medical Oncology, Endoscopy, PET/CT, Ultrasound and Mammography. She is also in the process of creating a nationwide database of patient satisfaction surveys specifically designed for radiation oncology, which will provide a benchmark by which individual centers can grade themselves. Ms. Neil is a proud co-founder of the New Jersey Society of Radiation Oncology Billers (SROB), which is about to take off this year. She is also presently a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technology (ASRT), Society for Radiation Oncology Administrators (SROA), the Southern Association of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology (SATRO), and is registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additionally, Donna is a member of Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), and the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE). In 2004, the American Biographical Institute named Donna Woman of the Year. |
